Ludopolis Blog Discussion Standards
Discussions on the Ludopolis blog are meant to be welcoming and interesting. If you wish to casually volunteer to improve discussions on the blog, here are some ideas:
- Contribute with your own ideas or responses on the topic. If you can, link to sources of the information in your post so that others can learn more.
- If you like what others have posted, or want to add ideas to theirs, please respond. Even a simple note can let the other poster know that their comments were noticed.
- Ignore uncivil comments. If the comment attacked another person's posting, you could comfort the victim by appreciatively commenting on their original posting (and avoiding responding to the rude comment itself).
- One goal of the Ludopolis blog is to be easy to re-read old discussions. To do this, older discussions will be trimmed at some point. You can help this editing process by drawing attention to people's posts that you feel should be preserved. For example, if there is a long comment in the discussion that has 3 parts of it that you particularly want to emphasise, merely post a response that quotes these 3 parts and explain why you appreciated these parts.
