Ludopolis

Volunteer Application

Playing Ludopolis and participating in the community are the most important ways to help. If you want to contribute more, there are casual and official volunteer opportunities available to you.

Casual ways to volunteer

You can contribute at any time without the fuss of going through any application process. Here are some ideas:
  • If you find an error in the documentation on the Ludopolis website, or a way that it could be clearer, then use the feedback form at the bottom to send in your suggestion (don't check "yes" or "no") (see our Ludopolis Documentation Standards guide)
  • Contribute to the discussion on the Ludopolis blog (see our Ludopolis Blog Discussion Standards guide for more ideas)
  • Introduce a friend to Ludopolis (see our Teaching Ludopolis guide). Send back your observations on how teaching Ludopolis might be improved.

Official volunteer positions

You can apply for one of 4 official volunteer positions. As an official volunteer, you will choose your project, develop your own persona, maintain high standards, and receive support and feedback during your position. Positions typically last 2 months.

If you want to apply, email info@marslow.com for your application form. The application form will contain your project proposal (from our list of projects, below, or your own invention), request a grant for your project, define your schedule, and make any other requests.

Official volunteer projects

These are examples of projects that you could propose:
  • Ludopolis documentation editing (needs writing skills)
  • game usability testing (needs interpersonal skills)
  • website usability testing (needs interpersonal skills)
  • contributing to blog articles (needs writing or research skills)
  • blog moderation (needs moderation skills)
